Hello, and welcome to the business of executive coaching podcast today. I want to kick off with a really short ?episode, just giving you a sense of who I am, why I'm starting this podcast and what you can expect with the episodes and guests that we'll be bringing in. I'm Ellie scarf. I'm an ex lawyer turned executive coach.
And as you've heard in my intro, when it comes to executive coaching, I've done it all. So I've been an associate coach. I've been the in house coach for a global brand business. And I've also owned and run coaching businesses with teams of coaches around the world. And I've done that in partnership and on my own.
So the upshot is I get it. The last 17 years of my life, I've lived and breathed executive and leadership coaching. Now, along the way, I've learned so many lessons generally from doing things the hard way or doing it wrong, but I've also had the tremendous benefit of having wonderful coaching mentors over the last 10 years.
I've been privileged to help other coaches who've been embarking on their businesses generally quite casually. And eventually as a formal mentor and business strategist. In 2023, I officially launched my digital course, the corporate to coach blueprint, which shares what I know to be the foundations of a thriving executive coaching business and the how to, of how to make it work in just a few short weeks, I'll be opening the doors to the impact coach collective, a mastermind style community for executive coaches, working with corporate clients in this community, members participate in monthly masterclasses and challenges.
Deal clinics, mentoring, Q and a sessions, and hear from expert guest speakers and more, the collective aims to help executive coaches level up their business to match the impact that they want to have on their coaches in this podcast. I'm going to come to you weekly and there'll be solo episodes and guest interview episodes with a range of guest coaches, experts, and mentors.
My aim is to share practical tips. Business ideas adapted for the executive coaching context and stories from coaches about their own corporate to coach journey. And because I'm quite a curious person, I'll be asking them tricky questions about things like their pricing strategies, their failures, how they managed to juggle it all.
I've got an extraordinary network of successful coaches, and I want to share their stories with you. As well as my own advice and reflections, and you'll be getting me, as I am, I'm practical. There may be the occasional swear word in there. So, you know, if that bothers you, you might want to make sure the kids aren't around.
But I really look forward to getting to know you better too. So don't forget to send me a comment or a message across my social platforms so I can say thanks for listening. You can find out more about me and what I do on my website at elliescarf.com.
